Commercialisation of Expert Systems

In 1986 Kewan McDonald, the father of Harmony teamed up with George Langley to form Mastersoft.  They commercially developed MatchMaker for customer-intensive applications in government, finance, insurance and telecommunications.

MatchMaker formed the core technologies for NADIS, the highly successful suite of customer data quality products still used by leading enterprises in four continents.  NADIS has proven extremely stable and reliable in processing very large volumes of customer data for a wide range of applications in many industries.  The expert system within NADIS means that it does not under- or over-match and leaves very few records (commonly less than 1%) that require manual review.

Mastersoft Research replaced NADIS with the Harmony Data quality Series of products in 2007, which extend the capabilities of NADIS to include any data type in any language, in any country.  Harmony is built on the rich traditions and heritage of the expert systems technologies and is a reliable and stable as its predecessor.
