Understand the Relationships

Harmony recognises all customer relationships that exist within an organisations customer data, whether they are households, families, companies or individuals.  This allows organisations to manage customer relationships more effectively.

Harmony recognises relationships via the Harmony Inference Matching Engine

The Harmony Inference Matching Engine is an expert system that replicates the subjective reasoning used by people to infer matches between customer records.  It is a total, coherent model that classifies every type of relationship that occurs in customer data sets.

Harmony Inference Matching approaches the matching problem the same way people do.  And since it is people who create all the problems in the first place, Harmony offers a reliable method of managing it.

How Harmony Matching Engine works

The Harmony Matching Engine is a comprehensive classification system that describes every type of relationship that occurs between customer records.  It evaluates these relationships in two ways:

Match Class – the type of match that exists between the records

A Match Class is a classification of a specific type of relationship that exists between customer data entities.  Harmony Match Classes are completely independent of each other and no Match Class takes precedence over another. Users can select any Match Class, or combine them to create a Match Profile to suit business requirements.

Confidence Level – the strength of the match

Confidence levels allow users to distinguish between High, Medium and Low strength matches and manage them accordingly.
